Happy Name Day, Sandra! Všechno nejlepší k svátku!

Today we honor Sandra. Happy Name Day, Sandra!
Sandra means "man's defender" and is of English origin and is the short form of Alexandra/Alessandra.  It was introduced to the English-speaking world by author George Meredith, who used it for the heroine in his novel "Emilia in England" (1864) and the reissued version "Sandra Belloni" (1887).
